Panel discussion
Financing Research Data Management: Between Basic Infrastructure and Project Funding
The digital transformation in science opens various new questions in organising and financing a digital infrastructure. Amongst others they relate to new digital research methods and publication channels, furthermore collaborative networking of science and IT infrastructure as well as training for a digitized research. Against the background of these digital developments and the recommendations from 2016 of the German Council for Scientific Information Infrastructures, the panel discussion addresses new ways, how research funding can improve the sustainability of research data in the future.
Addressing these topics, a panel discussion will be held within the scope of the E-Science Days with representatives from both academia and politics. We are pleased to announce the following speakers for the panel discussion:
Dr. Jana Hoffmann, Museum für Naturkunde Leibniz-Institut für Evolutions- und Biodiversitätsforschung
Dr. Veit Probst, Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg
Prof. Dr. med. Otto Rienhoff, Rat für Informationsinfrastruktur
Prof. Dr. Joachim Schachtner, Präsidium Universität Marburg
Moderator: Dr. Frank Stäudner, Zentrum für Wissenschaftsmanagement e.V.
Your questions, please!
You have a burning question or idea on eScience or research data management? You know a particular aspect which you would like to be addressed on the panel? We would like to consider your questions! Please, send your ideas to e-science-tage@uni-heidelberg.de
